Respite Care There may be times when the family caregiver needs some time away to take care of medical needs or other responsibilities. Respite care can be a great assistance. Short-term care is always a possibility and can be arranged with some forethought and planning. A few days or months of care at the appropriate level can be a tremendous help to both the caregiver and the person receiving the care. Respite time can be a great opportunity for your loved one to meet new people, experience new things and perhaps an opportunity to appreciate even more what the caregiver has been providing over time. This also helps the caregiver to "recharge his / her batteries" to become an even better caregiver. Adult Day Health Care The Adult Day Health Care Program offers caregivers a helping hand. We will provide a well-balanced, structured day for your loved one while you go to work, shop, visit with a friend or keep that overdue medical appointment. This program offers recreational activities/socialization, personal hygiene, medication administration, meals, resting, barber/beautician services and other opportunities from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Prices vary depending on the number of hours per day; meals received and number of days per week. Program size is limited and prior arrangements must be scheduled. Emergency Placement The Emergency Placement Program is available for a caregiver to make prior arrangements for admission in case an emergency should arise with no one available to care for his or her loved one. When a caregiver is suddenly hospitalized or called out of town, the facility of your choice will quickly admit your loved one with no hesitation. By completing an admission application, providing medical information and periodically keeping this information current, a last-minute admission may be completed smoothly and safely for all involved. There is no extra charge for this service. To learn more about these services or to schedule a personalized tour please contact us. |
